The new generation of our single-stage helical gear units reduces your costs and conserves valuable resources with a range of features, including a redesigned housing concept, optimized gear teeth, smart configuration options and minimum downtimes.
1. REDUCE COOLING COSTS.
Both the surface area and the thermal capacity of FLENDER ONE have been increased significantly compared to the predecessor product while simultaneously reducing its weight and maintaining the same footprint. This means that overdimensioning is no longer necessary to increase the gear unit’s own cooling performance. The result: the need for additional cooling measures is reduced.
2. BOOST EFFICIENCY.
The optimized performance offered by METAPERFORM® gear teeth marks a major step forward in the field of industrial gear units. Improvements in the gear unit’s rolling characteristics and path of contact have made it possible to reduce power dissipation by as much as 50 percent The gear unit is equipped with AIQ gear unit intelligence whose integrated sensor technology opens the way to optimize processes and improve the efficiency of systems in the field.
3. MINIMIZE DOWNTIME.
Breakdowns and downtimes represent huge opportunity costs that far exceed the actual process costs. While it is never possible to eliminate downtimes entirely, they can certainly be kept to a minimum. FLENDER ONE accomplishes this in several ways: 1) with AIQ gear unit intelligence featuring integrated sensor technology and innovative analytical functions 2) by maintaining high quality standards for development by manufacturing and service 3) by using especially long-lived roller bearings.

Adapting the system perfectly to your requirements eliminates all unnecessary costs while also protecting our environment. Thanks to the harmonized torque range, there are no significant gaps. With 103 transmission ratios between i = 1.0 to 7.1 for each size, we offer the world’s most complete range of transmission ratios, with a speed fit (rotation speed precision) of 98.5 percent, meaning that the maximum deviation from your desired speed is just 1.5 percent.

How the calculation works
How the calculation works
The calculation is based on the average electricity price in the respective country, the specific electricity consumption per year entered here and the efficiency of the FLENDER ONE, as well as on how much its power dissipation was optimized. Because CO2 consumption data (kg CO2/kWh) is not available for some countries, an average value is used for them (0.38085 kg CO2/kWh).

In addition, the extraordinary thermal capacity of FLENDER ONE allows its smaller dimensioning. Furthermore, we have adapted the service life of the rolling bearings to the requirements of the paper machine. And by maintaining the footprint of the previous gear unit model, we have facilitated the integration of FLENDER ONE into existing constructions.
For centrifugal pumps, not just reliability but also precisely meeting speed requirements is decisive, especially when it comes to efficiency. FLENDER ONE guarantees this in optimal fashion. With the world’s most complete range of transmission ratios (103 per size), it gives you the certainty of never being more than 1.5 percent away from your optimum speed. Beyond this, its high thermal capacity and multiple cooling options afford many possibilities for operating FLENDER ONE within a given application’s acceptable temperature range.
