AIQ CORE TORQUE
LOAD MONITORING MADE EASY
In addition to the standard AIQ Core, AIQ Core Torque provides continuous torque measurement and analysis. The precise load measurement helps identify harmful operating conditions, optimize the operating point and further improve drive efficiency. The system provides transparency regarding utilization levels. It can identify downsizing potential for future gearbox purchases and enables the analysis of the remaining service life of components.
GREATER TRANSPARENCY FOR AVAILABILITY, EFFICIENCY AND COST OPTIMIZATION
THROUGH INTEGRATED TORQUE MEASUREMENT
The torque measurement of AIQ Core Torque enables a detailed analysis of plant performance. The collected data can help identify optimization and efficiency potential and support informed business decisions.
AVOIDANCE OF DOWNTIMES
The actual operating loads of a system are not always predictable. This can lead to operating conditions that place additional stress on the drive system. The risk is particularly high during commissioning, when processes are not yet fully optimized and are often refined through a trial-and-error approach. By using AIQ Core Torque, overload situations can be detected at an early stage, helping to reduce the risk of unplanned downtime. This may also reduce the need for repeated system reconfigurations. AIQ Core Torque can help increase available production time and reduce service efforts.
OPTIMIZATION OF THE OPERATING POINT
Machine builders supply highly automated machines to their end customers. Optimizing equipment and process parameters is therefore of great importance. The potential of gearboxs is not always fully utilized, as further optimization often requires additional effort. Unlike optimization based solely on trial and error, AIQ Core Torque enables optimization based on measured mechanical torque. This method supports the targeted optimization of operating parameters and the identification of additional potential within plant operation.
REDUCING COSTS THROUGH DOWNSIZING
Gearbox specifications for certain applications are often defined and maintained over many years. The original specification was frequently based on theoretical calculations with safety margins. In many cases, no actual load measurements were carried out on the equipment. This could, in some cases, lead to oversized modern installations. With AIQ Core Torque, real operating loads can be measured and evaluated using a load distribution matrix. This data enables a reassessment of gearbox specifications. Potential downsizing opportunities can be identified in the process. This can support the selection of an appropriately sized gearbox for future projects and may enable economic benefits.
VERSATILE IN USE
AIQ Core Torque can be integrated into existing working environments through various connectivity options. You can connect the system directly to your plant control system via PLC or provide data to the AIQ web portal via Wi‑Fi.
The standardized PLC connection of the AIQ Core provides a continuous analogue and digital output of the measured values for your system control. The digital outputs provide pre-processed signals that can be used to control a fan or heating system, for example. The output signals - analog and digital - can be configured via the free AIQ app.
The AIQ Core also supports optional data exchange and communication via the OPC UA protocol. The OPC UA interface can be ordered at the factory or added later via a hardware upgrade. To do this, the upper part of the standard AIQ Core is replaced in the field.
The free AIQ app is available for direct control of the gearbox. You can use it to connect directly to the AIQ Core via Bluetooth. It provides status information and recommended actions and is designed for on-site service technicians. The app guides you step by step through the initial setup.
The AIQ online portal is available for in-depth analyses and online monitoring. Here, you can access process parameters, the remaining service life analysis of individual components, frequency-selective vibration analyses and other evaluations at any time. You can try out the portal functionality by of the portal using a demo account. Click on the button to gain access. The sensor must be directly connected to a local Wi-Fi network to use the portal.
